#PeopleofSPECTRUM – New Year Edition with Sarah (Pinnacle)

It’s the new year and we took this chance to ask Sarah from the Pinnacle team what she’s looking to try in 2022 and how 2021 was for her.

Learn more about Pinnacle here and follow them on Facebook and LinkedIn.

Now let’s get into the questions!

1. What were your highlights and takeaways from the year of 2021?

Sarah: 2021 was a year of hard work, inner reflection and a catalyst for discovery of what really matters in life.

Highlights were striving through the pandemic and challenges in the year. Through this discovering new insights about myself, passions and interests. The year also pushed me towards being more intentional in connecting and checking-in with people who matter in life.

A big takeaway would be the power of community and connection is so much more important right now and we are able to harness technology to do so. But definitely a catch-up over a session of kopi/latte is always the best!

2. Is there anything you want to try in the new year?

Sarah: Learn more, master my tennis game. Cooking and eating more nutritious food consistently! And keeping to my year’s intentions and goals!

3. Would you rather relive the year of 2020 or 2021?

Sarah: Wow can I choose neither, haha. Probably 2020 since we entered the uncertainty with hope that things would change the following year. And Zoom fatigue was less pronounced 😀

4. Would you rather go through the side effects from your 1st or 2nd vaccine dose?

Sarah: Definitely the 2nd vaccine dose because I was more knowledgeable and prepared for what’s to come. On a side note, I discovered the wonders of fresh coconut juice to dampen the effects. Had a stockpile of coconuts prepared for the side-effects!

5. If you were to describe the year of 2021 with a song or a show title what would it be?

Sarah:Bohemian Rhapsody” by Queen. A popular KTV song, and I always wonder why people ever try to sing such a difficult song, but now I understand the therapeutic release of singing it. As you can see I miss KTV.

To me this song is apt for 2021, exactly because it is such a roller-coaster of a song, that brings you on a ride filled with tempo changes, pitch shifts and hair-raising moments. The start of the song says it all for 2021:

Is this the real life?

Is this just fantasy?

We made the best of what we had and pushed through in 2021!
